Ellen Karen Vassey Obituary
Ellen Karen Vassey, born on July 13, 1936, in Mexia, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Karen was a devoted, loving mother to her children Valerie, Todd, and Allison.
Throughout her life, Karen enjoyed nurturing her passions, including reading, traveling, and gardening, and her deep faith and commitment to her church family at Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone she encountered, creating lasting memories for her family and friends. Karen is survived by her children, Allison Vassey (Suellen) and Todd Vassey; her brother, Fred Williams; and nephews John Stanton (Rachel) and Jason Williams. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of all who know her.
Karen was preceded in death by her loving mother and father, Lila and Floyd Williams; daughter, Valerie Kay Vassey; and niece, Jennifer Williams.
A memorial service will be held on August 23, 2025 at Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church in Karen’s memory.
