2019 Women’s Retreat
An Amazing Soul Care Experience
In November, 45 women traveled to Murrieta Hot Springs Christian Conference Center for the greatly anticipated 2019 Women’s Retreat. Young and old, sisters, friends, and church members gathered for a weekend of God’s refreshment and enjoy fellowship.
Rev. Anette Rihovsky spoke about the importance of Soul Care - her doctoral focus at Fuller Seminary. Her excellent presentation, complete with Scripture, visuals, and humor, created a tender and important understanding of how we care for our souls. Singing was led by Carol Stocksdale; and guitarist George Sabolick brought great musical worship on Saturday evening. Creative craft sessions of art with Susie Hess, jewelry making with Pam Souther, and the creation of prayer boxes with Heather Hilderbrand were enjoyed by many.
Favorite times of connecting were in our small groups - soaking in the relaxing natural hot springs, walking the grounds in a morning prayer walk, and singing around the evening campfire.
Pastor Anette concluded our retreat with Sunday worship communion and a powerful hand washing experience. Becky Szeyller closed the retreat with the reason for “2 Chairs” and an encouragement to make time to be with Christ every day.
