Ministry and Missions Тeam
This active group meets monthly on the second Tuesday at 7:00 pm. to discuss existing and potential new mission projects for LNPC, supporting projects both locally and globally. To get involved with any of these wonderful missions, or if you have a project you would like to champion, call the church office at 949-249-1218 and leave a message for the Missions Team.
Emergency Preparedness – Participate with members of our church and Team Laguna Niguel Responds, the city’s community-wide volunteer group, to educate, prepare and plan for local disasters. The church is certified as an emergency shelter by the Red Cross.
Health Ministries – This outreach ministry provides health education through seminars, CPR/First Aid training and flu vaccinations. The program partners with local hospitals and churches.
Helping Hands Ministry – This ministry provides assistance to members who are technologically challenged, or in need of a little help around their homes (change light bulbs, fix toilets, re-hang doors, fix sprinkler systems, move boxes or furniture, dissemble items and reassembled them, etc.).
Military Support – LNPC supports a variety of mission outreach efforts to support active military personnel and families through Laguna Niguel Military Support Committee and the Camp Pendleton YMCA:
- Hosting Events & Care Packages – includes the annual Laguna Niguel Christmas Luncheon for Marines from Camp Pendleton and sailors from USS McCluskey, baby shower gift baskets and Christmas toy and food drives.
- Angels Flying - Christmas gifts for Camp Pendleton Marines and their families.
- Easter Baskets – Holiday Easter baskets are assembled by members to share with military families.
Presbyterian Women – Join the women in our church in their outreach ministries and activities as they partner with:
- Friendship Shelter – preparing monthly sack lunches for residents and donating needed household items.
- Gilchrist House – helping women and their children in a transitional living home in San Clemente.
South County Outreach – Our church provides monthly donations of nonperishable food to SCO for individuals and families in need.
School Supplies – This outreach provides school supplies to San Juan Elementary School and Hidden Hills Elementary prior to the start of each new school year.
Weekly Homeless Dinner Program – LNPC joins with other local churches to provide weekly meals and other assistance to homeless individuals in our area through the Hands of Grace outreach.
“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works, and give glory to your Father in heaven…”
One Great Hour of Sharing & Christmas Joy Offerings – OGHS funds national and international efforts to improve the quality of life through disaster relief, education, and self-development of people. The Christmas Joy Offering helps to provide financial support for retired pastors.
7 Sisters International – A non-profit organization in Assam, India that provides housing and transformational care to female victims of child sex trafficking is supported by LNPC.
Operation Christmas Child – An international organization through Samaritan’s Purse, which is supported by LNPC’s Children & Youth Ministries and members of the congregation. Each year shoe boxes are filled with gifts to needy children throughout the world.
World Vision – Children’s Ministry supports a child named Hasani Kazungu Baya who loves to play soccer and hear Bible stories! His parents struggle to provide basic family needs while his community, like many others in Kenya, has been severely affected by the HIV and AIDS crisis. Through World Vision support, our LNPC children have helped Hasani with nutrition, much-needed health care and going to school, by showing God’s unconditional love in action.
Siempre Para Los Ninos – LNPC’s Youth Ministry annually takes a mission trip to this Children’s Home in Tijuana, Mexico, joined by other church members. They raise needed funds to support this mission trip through activities during the year. Ongoing donations of new clothes, personal Spanish Bibles, and other needs are also provided by LNPC members.
